Getting a room

Three steps, and none of them are complicated.

Boarding is arranged through the university admissions office first. Unaccompanied first semester students at Saba University are expected to live in one of the dormitories.

What actually happens

Have these ready at check in

  • The signed lease
  • A copy of your passport
  • Proof of payment
  • Your arrival date, time and method

Turning up without the lease or the passport copy is the usual reason check in gets delayed.

  1. Download the lease and fill it in

It is below. Print it, complete it, and sign it. There is no online form, and no account to create.

  2. Email it back with your passport

Send the signed lease and a copy of your passport to housing@hillsidesaba.com, and tell them how and when you are arriving: Winair, the Makana ferry, or the Edge, with the date and time.

  3. Pay before you travel, then check in

Payment is completed in full before you travel: a non-refundable $2,000 deposit secures the room, and the rest is also paid before you arrive. Check in is by appointment at the office on the lower level of Dorm 2. There is no 24 hour front desk, so the appointment matters.

The documents

Everything you need to download.

Paying by transfer?

The transfer details are in the Information for new students document above. If anything about them is unclear, email housing@hillsidesaba.com before sending money.

Hillside will never send you new or changed bank details out of the blue. If you receive an email that does, call the office on +599 416 2451 before sending anything.

Short stays

Not a student? Rooms are let short-term too.

When the dorms are not at capacity we take tenants on a short-term basis. Availability changes with the academic calendar, so the only way to know is to ask.

Send the dates you have in mind and the housing office will tell you what is free.
